Lunar Eclipse Sequence, August 28, 2007. This lunar eclipse was a real pleasure to watch, sitting on a beach next to Lake Huron. The first noticeable stage of the eclipse started at around 4:50 a.m. EDT, with totality starting at around 5:50 a.m. This seqence of photographs was started at 5:40 and shows five minute progressions of the eclipse ending with an image taken at 6:00.
The sequence of images also shows how the dawn sky was getting brighter as the Moon was becoming a deeper red.
