Comet Hale-Bopp, Moonlight, March 22, 1997. This beautiful comet cruised across our skies in the spring of '97. I observed it and photographed it every chance I could get. This image was taken as an almost full Moon was rising in the east. Moonlight during the 30 second exposure has lit up the landscape almost like day, but the comet was so bright that it shone through.
